Chapter 5

I was leaning against the doorframe, barefoot in my thin cotton dress, talking to the guy from 3B. He’s my age, maybe a little older, with that easy, sun-bleached smile and a way of looking at me like he’s memorizing the curve of my jaw. He’d been friendly for weeks, always stopping to ask about my day, always lingering just a second too long in the hallway, but tonight he leaned in closer, his voice dropping just enough to make the hair on my neck stand up. “You free this weekend?” he asked, fingers brushing mine as he reached past me to grab his mail. I smiled, playing along, letting my shoulder press lightly against his. “Maybe.” He held my gaze, that quiet confidence in his eyes, and I felt it—the pull, the promise of something easy, something outside the house.

The elevator doors slid open with a soft chime. Dad stepped out, still in his crisp white dress shirt, sleeves rolled to the elbows, tie loosened but still perfect. He didn’t say a word. Just stopped, eyes locking onto me, then flicking to him. The guy straightened, gave a polite nod, and walked away, heels clicking down the hall. Dad’s gaze never left me. His jaw tightened, that familiar stillness settling over him like a storm cloud. He didn’t scold me. Didn’t ask where I’d been, who’d been talking to me, why my lips were slightly parted. He just turned, key already in hand, and unlocked our door. The sound of the deadbolt sliding back was the only noise in the hallway.

That night, the air in the bedroom felt thick, charged, heavy with the kind of silence that only comes before something breaks. I was still in my silk slip, the pale one he likes to run his hands down, the fabric catching on my hips. He came in, kicked off his shoes, and pulled me against his chest. His hands were already there, rough and sure, sliding up my thighs, pushing the fabric aside. I didn’t hesitate. I never did. He lifted me easily, carried me to the bed, and set me on the edge, his mouth finding mine before I could even catch my breath. It was deep, claiming, tongue pushing past my lips like he needed to mark me from the inside out. I arched into him, fingers tangling in his hair, feeling the familiar heat build low in my belly, coiling tight.

He gripped my hips, fingers digging in, and pushed inside me in one slow, deliberate stroke. I gasped, back arching, as he filled me completely, stretching me, owning me. His weight settled over me, heavy and grounding, and I felt every inch of him, thick and hard, moving with a rhythm that felt older than words. “You’re mine,” he growled against my neck, each word punctuated by a deep thrust. “No one else.” Another stroke, slower, dragging out the friction, making me whimper. “Say it.” I swallowed the sound, eyes fluttering shut. “I’m yours,” I breathed, voice barely audible. He pulled back just enough to look at me, eyes dark, pupils blown, that familiar possessive hunger burning in them. “Louder.” I didn’t hesitate. “I’m yours!” The scream tore from my throat, raw and unfiltered, echoing off the walls. He groaned, a low, animal sound, and drove into me harder, faster, the mattress groaning under us, the rhythm becoming desperate, hungry.

Then came the knock. Three sharp raps against the wall, muffled but unmistakable. I froze. He did too, but only for a second. “Quiet,” he murmured, but his voice was rough, edged with something feral. I bit my lip, stifling a moan as he shifted his weight, angling his hips deeper, pulling out just enough to thrust back in, slower now, deliberate. The threat of being caught, of him hearing us, of that guy from down the hall knowing exactly what we were doing, sent a jolt straight to my core. Dad felt it. His grip tightened, fingers bruising my skin, and he leaned in, mouth pressing to my ear. “He wants you,” he whispered, voice dropping to a dark, possessive rumble. “He’s been looking. Smiling. Touching your hand.” Another thrust, deeper, bottoming out, making my back lift off the mattress. “Let him look. Let him hear.” I nodded, breathless, as he kissed my collarbone, then my shoulder, then my mouth again, swallowing my gasp. “You’re mine,” he repeated, harder this time, each word a command, each thrust a claim. “No one else.” I could feel it, the pressure building, coiling tight, ready to snap. “Say it.” “I’m yours!” I screamed, back arching, legs wrapping around his waist, heels digging into his thighs. He drove through it, deep, relentless, until I shattered. My body locked, trembling, as he held me there, riding out the climax, his breath hot against my ear, his hands gripping me like he’d never let go.

He didn’t pull out. Just stayed buried, chest heaving, fingers tracing the curve of my hip, the silk slip pooled around my waist. The knock came again, softer this time. A muffled voice. We both heard it. I pressed a hand to my mouth, eyes wide, heart pounding against my ribs. Dad smirked, that dark, knowing smile, and shifted his weight, angling himself deeper. “Let them hear,” he murmured, and then he moved again. Slower at first, then faster, building the rhythm until the bed shook, until the wall vibrated beneath us. “You’re mine,” he whispered, each thrust precise, deliberate, dragging out every inch. “No one else.” I could feel the neighbor’s footsteps pause outside our door. I could feel the weight of his eyes through the wood, the promise of him standing there, listening, imagining. Dad felt it too. His grip tightened, his thrusts deepened, until I was crying out, voice raw, completely his. “I’m yours!” I gasped, and he groaned, bottoming out, holding me there as he came, deep inside me, marking me, claiming me, before I even realized I was his again.

He didn’t stop. Just kept moving, keeping me quiet with every shift of his hips, every grind of his cock against my walls, until my legs shook, until my breath came in shallow gasps, until the only sound in the room was the slick slide of skin, the creak of the frame, the quiet thud of his body against mine. “You’re mine,” he repeated, voice rough, almost reverent. “No one else.” I nodded, dazed, feeling it in my bones, in my blood, in the way my body remembered him, how it always had. “I’m yours,” I whispered, and he smiled, that quiet, devastating smile, and kissed me like he was memorizing me, like he’d never let go. The neighbor’s footsteps faded down the hall. We didn’t hear them. Or maybe we did, and we just didn’t care.
