The Visit

The silence of the dorm was the first thing to break. My phone vibrated against the thin mattress, a restless buzz that traveled up the length of the narrow bed where I'd been staring at the ceiling, counting the hours until his car would roll into the visitor spot. 10:14 a.m. Saturday. I didn't check the screen to know it was him. The vibration pattern was his signature, a double pulse followed by a pause. I swung my legs over the edge, the laminate floor biting my soles, and grabbed the charcoal hoodie he'd left last time. It swallowed my frame, the fabric soft from a dozen washes, still holding the ghost of his cedar and clean cotton scent. No bra, no fuss. Just the pull of leggings and a frantic energy that made my pulse drum against my collarbone. I grabbed my keys and bolted down the hallway, the familiar squeak of sneakers on linoleum echoing as I took the stairs two at a time.

The glass doors hissed open, admitting the sharp autumn chill and the rumble of distant traffic. There he was. Parked in the designated spot, black sedan gleaming under the overcast sky. He leaned against the driver's side, posture relaxed, one hand buried in the pocket of his navy coat. In the other, a paper bag from the Vietnamese spot downtown, the steam faintly visible. He'd remembered. I'd dropped the name in a voice note weeks ago, barely a passing thought, and he'd made a mental note. The absurdity of his attention to detail sent a flush creeping up my neck. He looked up as I approached, that slow, deliberate curve of his lips taking shape. No wide-eyed wonder, just a steady, assessing look that measured me from my messy bun to my scuffed sneakers. I didn't walk. I closed the distance in a rush, colliding with him hard enough to press his back against the car door. My arms looped around his waist, face burrowing into the crisp cotton of his shirt. He smelled of sandalwood and the metallic tang of the car's leather seats. I inhaled, greedily, trying to siphon the scent of home, of safety, of him.

His laugh rumbled against my cheek, a low vibration that traveled through his chest and settled in my stomach. His arms locked around me, one hand splaying flat against the small of my back, fingers pressing through the thin fabric of my hoodie, the other tangling in my hair to tilt my face up. He held me with a possessive weight, grounding me.

"Miss me, love?" His voice was rougher than the polished tone he used for the professor's office hours, pitched low enough that only I could hear over the idling sedan.

I nodded, unable to form words, my fingers clutching the lapels of his coat. The separation had been a physical ache for three weeks. Text messages were pixels; voice notes were compressed audio. This was the real thing. The solid line of his jaw, the warmth radiating off him, the way his palm brushed the side of my neck, fingers digging into the denim of my leggings.

"We should get inside before Sarah makes her rounds," he murmured, glancing toward the dorm office. Sarah was the RA. She had a reputation for timing her checks like clockwork, clipboard in hand, scanning for violators. I'd spent the week worrying about her. The last time she'd knocked, I'd been on a call with him, voice trembling, and the silence on the other end had been thick enough to choke on.

He caught my glance. "Sarah?" he asked, his eyebrow arching.

"She's fine. She's in the common room."

He stepped back, giving me room to breathe, but his hand lingered on my hip, his thumb pressing into the bone. "Then let's not give her an excuse. Up you go?"

He held out a hand. I took it, his grip firm, calloused palm against my fingers. The walk to the second floor felt longer than usual. Every footfall on the metal stairs sounded like a drumbeat. *Thud. Thud. Thud.* I could hear his breathing, steady and controlled, contrasting with the rapid flutter in my own throat.

I unlocked the door, slipping inside and letting him follow, my body brushing against his as I stepped back. The room was a shoebox. A twin XL bed dominated the center, the sheets rumpled from my restless sleep, a desk cluttered with textbooks in the corner, and a window overlooking the quad. It was barely enough room to turn around, let alone accommodate us. But as he stepped in, the space seemed to shrink further, charged with the sudden proximity. He kicked the door shut with his heel. The click of the latch felt final.

"You're starving," he said, noting the paper bag. "I can eat later."

His voice dropped, the casual tone stripping away to reveal the hunger beneath. He set the bag on the desk, knocking a stack of novels askew, and turned back to me.

He closed the distance, his hands sliding up my arms, palms warm against my skin. He didn't ask. He just pulled me against him, his body caging me in until the thin cotton of my hoodie met the wool of his coat. His mouth found mine, a demanding press that tasted of mint and coffee. I melted into him, my fingers tangling in the hair at the nape of his neck. He lifted me, one arm supporting my back, the other under my knees, and carried me to the narrow bed.

There wasn't room for much maneuvering. He laid me down on the rumpled sheets, the mattress groaning under our weight, and followed me down, his body a heavy, comforting pressure.

He sat up, legs splayed, the narrow twin bed forcing his knees to touch the edge as he settled. I climbed onto his lap, facing him, the narrowness of the mattress meaning my back brushed the wall when I shifted. His hands gripped my waist, fingers digging in, holding me in place. He kissed me again, slow and deep, while his hips ground against mine. The friction was electric. I could feel the hard ridge of his erection through his trousers, the heat blooming where our bodies met.

He pushed my leggings down, the fabric pooling at my ankles, and hooked his thumbs into the waistband of my underwear, sliding them off. The cool air of the dorm hit my skin for a second before his hand returned, warm and rough, cupping my thigh and lifting it over his knee. The position was awkward, intimate, a tangle of limbs forced together by the cramped quarters. My back pressed against the wall, the drywall cool against my shoulder blades. He leaned back against the headboard, his head near the edge of the bed, and I straddled him, the narrowness meaning my calves brushed his shoulders. I looked down at him, his face buried in my stomach, his hands roaming over my hips. He glanced up, his irises a deep, heavy brown, steady and focused.

"Look at me," he commanded softly.

I obeyed, locking eyes with him as he kissed the hollow of my throat.

He kissed me, a slow, wet slide of his tongue against my lips, and then his mouth moved lower, tracing the curve of my neck. His hands slid up, cupping my breasts, thumbs brushing the peaks as he felt them harden. I arched into his touch, a soft exhale escaping my lips. He paused, listening. The dorm was quiet, but the walls were paper-thin. A muffled laugh drifted from the room next door. He smiled against my skin.

"Sarah's around," he murmured, his voice a low rumble. "But the door's closed."

He didn't stop. His hand moved between my legs, finding me slick and ready, his fingers slipping inside with a slow, deliberate stroke. I gasped, the sound too loud in the small space. He covered my mouth with his hand, his palm warm, his eyes crinkling.

"Quiet, sweetheart."

The pet name felt like a caress. He pulled his hand away, guiding me down, and took me into his mouth. The vibration of his voice traveled up my spine. I gripped the sheets, knuckles white, as his mouth worked on me. The rhythm was steady, unhurried. I could feel the pulse in his throat, the way his shoulders moved. The narrowness of the bed meant every shift sent a ripple through the mattress, the springs groaning. I bit my lip to stifle a moan, but the pleasure was too sharp, too sudden. My hips bucked, seeking more. He pulled back, his gaze steady, and reached for his belt. The sound of the buckle unfastening seemed deafening. He pulled out his cock, thick and heavy, and guided me down.

The entry was slow, stretching me, filling me. I gasped, a sharp intake of breath. He held my waist, his thumbs pressing into the bone, anchoring me. He thrust once, deep and solid. The impact rattled the thin wall behind my head. From the other side, a voice called out, "Hey! Keep it down in there!"

My heart jumped to my throat. He didn't flinch. He just looked at me, a smirk playing on his lips, and thrust again, harder this time.

"She knows," he whispered. "She knows it's us."

He drove into me with a steady rhythm, his hands gripping my hips, holding me against the wall. The friction was intense, the heat building in my core. I wrapped my legs around his waist, locking my ankles, pulling him deeper. His breathing grew heavier, a rough rasp against my ear. I could feel the tension coiling in his thighs, the way his muscles bunched with every thrust. The RA's footsteps paused outside our door. We both froze, listening. A muffled cough, then the footsteps moved on. A collective exhale escaped me.

He chuckled, the sound vibrating through his chest, and resumed, the pace quickening. I was close, the pleasure coiling tight, a spring ready to snap. I looked down at him, his eyes locked on mine, the focus absolute.

"Look at me," he said. "Watch me."

I did. His pace increased, his thrusts becoming deeper, harder. I felt the stretch, the fullness, and then the release hit. My back pressed flush against the wall, my legs trembling as my climax washed over me, tight and bright. He followed seconds later, his body shuddering against mine, a low groan muffled against my shoulder.

We stayed like that for a moment, tangled in the narrow bed, the sound of our breathing the only noise in the room. He pulled out slowly, adjusting his trousers, and brushed a stray lock of hair from my forehead.

"Miss me," he whispered, his voice tender now, the dominance fading into something softer.

I nodded, still catching my breath, the taste of him on my lips, the ache in my core a pleasant reminder. "Miss you."

He smiled, that slow, knowing curve, and kissed my forehead. "Good. Then we have work to do."

He reached for the paper bag on the desk, tossing it onto the bed between us. "Eat first. Then I'll show you exactly how much I missed you."
