The air in the private viewing suite was thick, charged with a static electricity that had nothing to do with the weather outside and everything to do with the magnetic pull between us. Above us, the massive glass dome of the observatory had slid open, revealing a sprawling canopy of stars that seemed close enough to touch. But I barely registered the celestial display. My entire world had narrowed down to the space between us on the plush, velvet-cushioned floor of the secluded corner, away from the hum of the other guests and the soft jazz playing in the background. He had me pressed back against the cool, curved wall of the dome’s support structure, his body a solid weight against mine. The kiss had evolved from a tentative exploration to a devouring force, his tongue sweeping into my mouth with a dominance that made my knees weak. I tasted mint and expensive scotch, mixed with the salty tang of his skin. My hands were tangled in his hair, pulling him closer, desperate for more friction, more heat. He groaned against my lips, a low, guttural sound that vibrated through my chest, and I could feel the hardness of him
