The gravel crunched under the tires of my rental car, a sharp, rhythmic sound that cut through the low hum of a hundred idling engines. I had been driving for four hours to get here, escaping the sterile silence of my apartment for the chaotic, visceral energy of the Iron Horse Rally. The air was thick, heavy with the scent of high-octane gasoline, burnt rubber, and the earthy, pungent aroma of unwashed denim and leather.
